The Angela Conservation Fund

Remembering Angela Sacha - a true conservation travel legend

Wild Philanthropy has had a number of inspirations over the years and has had great advocates and supporters. Up there at the top is Angela Sacha, who has helped shape the organisation while also being one of the most effective fundraisers we’ve ever encountered. She has introduced us to some of our key partners and was continually helping Wild Philanthropy increase it’s impact.

We were devastated to hear of that she had died last Thursday, having suffered a heart attack the week before. Keen to do something to remember her by, and spurred on by many of friends, colleagues, and clients, we have committed to establishing the Angela Conservation Fund, which will provide grants to conservation projects we knew were close to Angela’s heart. While yet to work out the details of how the Fund will work, we felt setting it up straight away was something she would have approved of.

Angela will be sorely missed. Her work over the years has left an amazing legacy, and we hope the Fund will continue her fine work and serve as a constant reminder of the the wonderful woman that was Angela Sacha. If you would like to support this Fund, please see below. Do note that 100% of any donations received will make their way to projects on the ground. As we develop the Fund, so we will update this page to explain further how it will work.
