Live Wildlife

Live Wildlife is a non-profit foundation devoted to protecting wildlife and improving the lives of the communities surrounding this privileged wildlife concession.

Based in the Chem Chem Wildlife Conservation, its main focus has been the migration corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara.

It has developed a number of targeted wildlife conservation and education-based projects. The ethos for each project has always been the same: the need to change from ‘spectators of nature to active participants in it.’ Projects include:

– Four Steps to a Better Education

– a comprehensive rehabilitation of the elephant migration route,

– the Living Walls Project, the establishing of an anti-poaching unit,

– Burunge East and West Wild Life Management Areas (in partnership with Chem Chem)

– Kick4LiveWildLive

‘LiveWildlife’s mission is to promote and facilitate the protection of rural Tanzania’s environmental heritage in a way that benefits both the community and the area’s natural habitat.’
